Saving With Cellfire.com

It's probably happened to you, you're out shopping and you forgot to bring your coupons."What I basically realized is wouldn't it be great to be able to carry around your discounts and offers on your mobile phone because you have your mobile phone with you," explains Brent Dusing, CEO of Cellfire.com.

That's why Bay area resident, Brent Dusing created Cellfire.com. It's an application on your cell phone that allows you to download coupons and use them in stores. "Overall our application has enabled users to save hundreds of dollars, we've issued about 20 million dollars in savings to our users so far," says Dwight Moore, VP Corporate Marketing of Cellfire.com.

Here's how it works: You can send a text message to 22888, or you can sign up online. Enter your cell phone number and carrier. You do need to have web access on your cell phone. Then enter your zip code and check out the coupons.

"Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hollywood Video, we have some great deals on women's magazines through Meredith Publishing, 1-800-flowers," says Dwight.

For example, you can get a free rental or free used DVD at Hollywood Video.

At Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a free double upgrade, so you can drive a standard size car for the price of an economy. And if you're worried about getting spam on your cell phone? "You're in control of the content you receive and you're never bothered if you don't want to," Brent says. Coupons get updated weekly; just download them whenever you want. By the way, Cellfire is available nationwide. Just with the two examples we showed you, you'd save $22.08.
